A little help. Keep talking.

Clear answers, a safer community, and the right place to get help.

A better space, together

Something isn’t right?

Report harassment, impersonation, spam or other rule violations directly in Talkinch. This connects your report to the right user and, where available, the conversation context.

Report in the appOpens Talkinch. Select the user there to start your report.
  1. Open the user’s profile

Tap their avatar in a room or open their profile. You can also use the user actions in a direct conversation. Choose “Report” or “Report user”.

  2. Tell us what happened

Select the main category, then the reason that best fits. Add a short note in the optional details step if it helps explain the situation.

  3. Send your report

Choose “Send report” and wait for the confirmation. When available, you can also choose to block the user in this flow.

Reports about users belong in the app, not in a support email. The in-app flow sends them to the moderation team.

Good conversations need shared ground.

Frequently asked questions

Start here for the things people most often need help with.

Account & access

How do I create a Talkinch account?

Open Talkinch, choose “Continue with email”, then “Create account”. Enter your email, create a password that meets the rules shown, and review the required agreements. Finish by choosing your username and avatar. You can also use Google, or Apple when it is offered on your device. Talkinch is for people aged 18 and over.

How do I verify my account?

Open phone verification from your profile or account settings. Choose the country code, enter your phone number and confirm the 6-digit SMS code before it expires. This completes phone verification for your account. Never share the code with anyone.

What is the difference between verified and unverified accounts?

An unverified account can explore Talkinch and join eligible rooms as a listener. Phone verification is required to create a room, use room text chat or speak. A verified listener can take an available speaker seat when the room rules and account limits allow it. Verification and Talkinch Plus are separate: Plus is an optional paid entitlement.

Does verifying my email also verify my account?

They are separate steps. Email verification confirms your email address; the verified account status used for room participation comes from phone verification. You can review your email and phone status in Settings → Account.

I cannot sign in or receive a verification code. What should I do?

Use the same sign-in method you used for your account. For an email password, choose “Forgot your password?” and follow the email code steps. Check spam folders for email codes, and the country code and phone number for SMS codes. If a code expires or attempts are limited, follow the on-screen instructions before trying again. If you still cannot access your own account, use the technical support section below.

Community & safety

How do I report another user?

Use “Report” or “Report user” from their profile or the conversation’s user actions. Select a category and reason, add any useful context and send the report. Follow the steps above. User complaints are handled through this in-app flow, not through support email.

Are reporting, blocking and muting the same thing?

No. Reporting sends a concern to the moderation team. Blocking limits social interactions with that user; muting their audio changes what you hear. These controls do not replace a report. Blocking also does not remove someone from a shared room. If a reporting flow offers a block option, you can use both together.

Account deletion & subscriptions

How do I delete my account?

Open your profile, then Settings → Account → Delete account. Read the notices and any subscription information, then complete the final confirmation. Your sessions are ended and a 60-day pending deletion period begins. After that period, eligible data is erased or anonymized under the applicable process; some records may be retained for legal and security purposes. If you cannot reach this flow, use the dedicated contact channel in the Account Deletion guide.

Can I cancel a pending account deletion?

Within the 60-day period, sign in and explicitly choose to reactivate your account on the activation screen. Signing in alone does not cancel the deletion request. Check the deletion date shown in the app. If you do not want to cancel the request, sign out without reactivating.

Does deleting my account cancel Talkinch Plus?

Deleting your Talkinch account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel renewal in the store account that bills you. Removing the app from your device does not delete your Talkinch account or cancel a subscription either.

Audio & purchases

Why can’t I speak or hear the room?

To speak, verify your phone number, take an available speaker seat and allow microphone access. Check whether your microphone is muted, your device volume and the selected headphones or audio output. In a browser, check the site’s microphone permission too. If the issue continues, note your device, app or browser version and the steps that trigger it for technical support.

A purchase or token balance does not look right. What should I do?

Check your in-app wallet history and the receipt from the store where you paid. If a completed purchase is still missing or a charge looks incorrect, contact technical support with the transaction reference, approximate time and a short explanation. Do not include full card details, passwords or verification codes.
